Hansgrohe joins the world of iPhone Applications

We talked about the beauty of Hansgrohe in our post a couple of days ago, but we wanted to share with you some excited news about the innovative German manufacturer of bath related products. Hansgrohe is making it easier for you to see how their product will look in your home before you even purchase it. The iPhone application Hansgrohe@home (www.hansgrohe.de/iphone) allows users to try out their PuraVida line in their own bathrooms by a flick of a finger. The iPhone application is the first sanitaryware manufacturer to present an iPhone application for virtual bathroom design.

“The principle behind the Hansgrohe app is a simple one,” explains Hansgrohe’s marketing director Joachim Huber. “Take a photograph of your washstand, use your finger to remove the existing tap fitting on the touchscreen, and the app then projects the PuraVida fitting in its place.” This picture montage can be saved, sent on by email or printed out. “This means the Hansgrohe app is also a useful tool for sales approaches in a bathroom showroom,” he continues.
