The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) took place at McCormick Place in Chicago this month with nearly 700 exhibitors.  This event houses some of the industries top dealers, designers, builders, remodelers, retailers and more.  “With consumers growing savvier than ever when it comes to home improvement, KBIS offers its attendees and exhibitors an unparalleled opportunity to get a leg‐up on the competition by showcasing the latest products and trends in the marketplace,” said Mark Karas, 2010 president of the NKBA.

This year’s theme for the show is “be inspired” and the keynote speaker will be Sergio Zyman, the world’s first‐ever chief marketing officer, a position which he formerly held with The Coca‐Cola Company.

Some of our clients who exhibited in the KBIS show are Native Trails, Toto, Cifial, Hansgrohe, Lenova, Rocky Mountain Hardware, Rohl, Ronbow and Xylem.  Click here to learn more about the products we carry at Hutter Wholesale.

We have the scoop on products expected to be showcased at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Chicago on April 16-18, and here’s five that caught our attention.

1. Rohl’s new Vincent Series collection is inspired by the mountain resort of Saint Vincent in Italy’s Piedmonte region. Italian craftsman assisted in creating the design for its new series.

2. MAAXBath’s freestanding Viaggi bathtub, which the company says is designed to take center stage in the bathroom. The modern-looking tub sits on a solid wooden base, and comes in earthy colors.

3. Aquatic’s Ava Bath, an accessible bathtub, might serve as an option for homeowners with mobility issues. The automatic door lowers to open and rise to close, which may make it easier for people using wheelchairs to get enter and exit.

4. The Blanco Salon may be the next greatest thing for people into composting. It is describes as a high-tech, built-in compost bin with the technology to collect fruit, vegetable peels, egg shells and coffee grounds.

5. Moen’s Arbor™ pulldown faucet has a high-arc spout, multi-function pulldown wand and docking mechanism, for tasks such as filing large pots around the sink and keeping control of the temperature.

These new products show that the industry is becoming more and more focused on aging homeowners, the environment and of course, anything that makes a design statement.
