One of the most important design elements that often gets overlooked when decorating a home is lighting.  Lighting should be thought of as another extension of your décor.  Lighting can be used to highlight a piece of art or it can be the work of art that hangs in your room.   Either way, just remember that lighting is a very important aspect to your design scheme.  Take a look at some of our favorite lighting options.

Building a home in and around Bear Land? Knobs may be your best bet.
Lever style door hardware has been a preference for most of our clients, but bears may soon dictate what sort of door hardware is permitted in some Colorado mountain communities. Numerous reports of bears entering homes by opening doors on their own have prompted action by officials. According to The Denver Post, The Colorado Division of Wildlife recently urged county commissioners to amend a land-use code to mandate round shape doorknobs on any home exterior door because knobs are far more difficult for bears to open than the more common lever style option.
Hutter Wholesale offers many knob style door hardware options available from several different manufactures. You can select from hundreds of options!

We are proud to carry Toto line of products at Hutter Wholesale.  Not only are the aesthetics of the line  important at Toto, but they care about the environment as well.  According to Toto, “Our commitment to sustainability is exemplified in our manufacturing processes. If something can be reclaimed, recycled, or reused at a TOTO plant, it is.

At our Morrow, GA plant all grey water generated during operations is stored and reused. We recycle all pallets, aluminum and paper, and we’ve successfully implemented a closed-loop process with recycled cardboard. Our forklifts use soybean-based hydraulic oil, and our imperfect and damaged china is crushed and recycled back into roadbed construction.

Our belief in the idea of doing more with less doesn’t just stop at the factory floor. We recently purchased 480,000 kilowatt-hours of Green Energy® from Georgia Power, and we encourage our employees to practice sustainability at home.  For example, we offer incentives for employee owned-hybrid cars, and if their town or neighborhood doesn’t recycle, they can bring their recyclables into work to be added to our plant recycling.”

WaterSense, a partnership program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), makes it easy for Americans to save water and protect the environment by identifying high efficiency products that perform well.  The WaterSense program was announced at the 2006 American Water Works Association’s Annual Conference and Exposition in San Antonio, Texas.  WaterSense was created to encourage manufactures to produce water efficient plumbing fixtures and to develop a labeling system to help consumers recognize these products.
