Building a home in and around Bear Land? Knobs may be your best bet.
Lever style door hardware has been a preference for most of our clients, but bears may soon dictate what sort of door hardware is permitted in some Colorado mountain communities. Numerous reports of bears entering homes by opening doors on their own have prompted action by officials. According to The Denver Post, The Colorado Division of Wildlife recently urged county commissioners to amend a land-use code to mandate round shape doorknobs on any home exterior door because knobs are far more difficult for bears to open than the more common lever style option.
Hutter Wholesale offers many knob style door hardware options available from several different manufactures. You can select from hundreds of options!
